What is the difference between a Large Poster, a Giclée Print and a Studio Experimental Edition?
- Large Posters are the most accessible way to bring a Frida Why artwork into your space if you are looking for a larger piece (50x70cm). They are printed in Athens on 190 gsm matte paper using water-based inks and are designed as affordable art for your walls.
- Giclée Prints are printed by me in my Athens studio using pigment inks on selective acid-free archival papers. The giclée printing process brings out the vibrant colours, deep blacks and layered details of my work. Each print is made in-studio and is available in two sizes: A4 and 30 × 40 cm.
- Studio Experimental Editions are where my digital art expands into the physical. I begin with a pigment print, and then work directly onto the printed artwork by hand, using different materials and techniques, such as handwritting, sketch, silk-screen printing. Each piece is individually finished, transforming the original digital artwork into a unique, hand-embellished work. No two pieces are exactly alike. Artworks in this collection are available in different sizes, depending on the experimental process.
What is Giclée?
Giclée is a professional fine art printing process that uses high-quality inkjet technology and pigment-based inks to reproduce artwork with exceptional detail, tonal range, colour depth and long-term durability.
Do the prints and artworks come framed?
Prints and artworks are sold unframed unless specifically stated otherwise on the individual product page. This gives you the freedom to choose a frame and presentation that works best for your space and the artwork.
How long will my print last and how should I frame and care for my artwork?
My Giclée Art Prints and Studio Experimental Editions artworks are produced using pigment-based inks and carefully selected art papers.
With appropriate framing, handling and display conditions, they are made to remain beautiful for many years. To help preserve your artwork, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and excessive humidity.
Large Posters use a different printing process and materials and are intended as a more accessible, decorative option. With proper care, they can also be enjoyed for years.
For the best preservation, I recommend framing your artwork behind glass or acrylic and keeping it away from prolonged direct sunlight, excessive humidity and extreme temperature changes.
When handling an unframed print, make sure your hands are clean and dry and avoid touching the printed surface.
How long does it take to receive my order and How is my order packaged?
- Please allow up to 5 business days for your order to be prepared and dispatched.
Estimated delivery times after shipping are:
- Greece: 1–3 business days
- Europe: 5–10 business days (shipping to Europe is not available at the moment)
- Worldwide: 8–14 business days
You will receive a tracking number once your order has been dispatched.
Please note that delivery times are estimates and may occasionally vary due to circumstances outside my control.
- Every order is carefully packed in my studio with attention and care.
- Giclée Art Prints and Hand-Embellished artworks are shipped flat in sturdy envelopes with protective card stiffeners.
- Large Posters are shipped rolled in durable shipping tubes to protect them during transit.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and added separately to your order total.
What happens if my order arrives damaged?
Every order is carefully packaged to protect the artwork during transit.
If your order arrives damaged, please contact me as soon as possible with photographs of the artwork and packaging. I will assess the damage and work with you to find the best solution.
Please keep the original packaging until the issue has been resolved.
